Before joining Patel & Associates Limited (PAL) Dinesh was in the retail industry dealing with a variety of business.  He is director to a number of companies and also advises small to medium size companies throughout New Zealand in his capacity as a Financial Advisor, in shaping business to the need of Financial Institutions, Banks, Companies office, and The Inland Revenue Department.


Dinesh brings a considerable experience in dealing with people and his ability to communicate effectively in English, Hindi and Gujarati lends even a stronger dimension to PAL.  He has been very prominent member of the Indian Community, and serving the needs of all Indians in our community. With the help of other members of the community was instrumental in making sure that there was Sports and Cultural Activity on an annual basis in the early 90’s and very successfully hosted eight years of Sports and Cultural Activity in Auckland.


Being educated in New Zealand and his Chartered Accountancy experience with Deloitte in Australia and New Zealand brings to PAL his vast experience in Large to small companies, including listed companies.


Dinesh was educated in Fiji at Shri Vivekananda High School and Wellington High School the lead to his tertiary education at Auckland Institute of Technology, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 and practised as an Accountant in Auckland at Touche Ross & Co, merged with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, to form Deloitte Touche Tohamatsu now Deloitte. In his time with Deloitte he was in the Audit department in charge of very large to small enterprises.


In recent time he has worked with other Chartered Accountants in conjunction with a Legal team in litigation in providing information and evidence in the High Court in Auckland.


Dinesh continued to practice as an Accountant with his family business and also practising as a Financial and Tax advisor to a handful of his clients, varying from farming, retail, motel, guest house and service industry.


Dinesh is married to Lata with two children, Aastha & Bhawick, he loves watching sports, rugby, soccer, cricket and listening to music.


He brings to PAL his hard yards, in true sense, the retail experience to serve all types of clients in growing their business in line with PAL mission statement
