Nilima Sahai- Manager – Business Advisory Services (BAS)
Nilima brings to the firm her 30 years of Accounting, Taxation and Audit experience to the firm, qualified as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (B.Com). She joined “PAL” in 2003 and over the years has built an excellent relationship with her existing clients. She is conversant in Hindi, Punjabi and English, and is able to relate to people in a manner that gives them confidence of her professional and moral ethics.
Her experience includes form her first assignments with G Lal & Company (Arthur Anderson) as a junior accountant for 3 years and then 11 years in the Top 5 Chartered Accountants, including Price Waterhouse Coopers and KPMG, specialising in Business Advisory and Taxation service to small to medium sized business. In her time with the firms she was also part of an audit team performing audits for the service industry, reporting to head office and honorary audits for schools and sporting entities. She was engaged as a Financial Controller for 4 years in a commercial sector, supervising a team under her, specialising in retail, finance and banking.
She completed her secondary school in Fiji at Sangam College in Nandi and being one of the first siblings from her family to wench abroad to India at University of Pune, where she majored in accounting and auditing.
Nilima is married to Ramendra and has two sons , Puneet and Roneel . She is a people’s person and loves working closely with clients in assisting them in their day to day advisory work, accounting and taxation needs. She lends her hand in community work, helping the needy, in any way that she can. She continues to do this on a regular basis on her own with the help from her family.
She loves Music, coming from a family of music lovers, is an excellent singer. Hindi songs are her favourite and lends that “midas” touch to religious Bhajans with her love and devotion for the divine.
